Terms & Conditions

1. General Terms

ShutterShare is an event camera rental service operated by The Lions Alliance, based in the Netherlands. By placing a booking, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms apply to all rentals, deliveries, and services provided by ShutterShare.

2. Rental Agreement

The customer rents a set of 10 cameras for their event. The rental period covers the agreed event date(s). All cameras must be returned within 5 business days after the event using the prepaid return label provided. Failure to return within this period may result in additional charges.

3. Pricing & Payment

Our packages are priced as follows:

• Basic Package — €89 (10 cameras, raw photo files, private download link)
• Standard Package — €119 (10 cameras, online gallery, curation, guest sharing link)
• Premium Package — €149 (everything in Standard, plus custom branding and digital photobook)
• PostNL shipping (send & return) — +€15 (optional; free local pickup available)

Payment is due in full before delivery or pickup of the cameras.

4. Delivery & Returns

Cameras are shipped via PostNL to any address in the Netherlands. A prepaid return label is included in every shipment. Free local pickup is also available by appointment. The customer is responsible for ensuring cameras are returned in the provided packaging within 5 business days after the event.

5. Damage & Loss

Normal wear and tear from regular event use is covered at no extra cost. In the event of damage beyond normal use or loss of a camera, a replacement fee of €45 per camera applies. The maximum liability for damage or loss is capped at 10 × €45 = €450.

6. Photos & Digital Delivery

All photos are extracted from the cameras and delivered digitally within 5 business days after we receive the returned cameras. Photos are stored securely for 90 days, after which they are permanently deleted. The customer is responsible for downloading all photos within this 90-day period.

7. Privacy & Data

We collect your name, email address, and event date for booking and communication purposes only. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

8. Cancellation Policy

• Free cancellation up to 14 days before the event — full refund.
• Cancellation between 14 days and 48 hours before the event — 50% refund.
• Cancellation within 48 hours of the event — no refund.

9. Cookies

We use essential Cloudflare security cookies and localStorage for language preferences only. We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, or third-party advertising cookies.

10. Liability

ShutterShare is not liable for photo quality, missed moments, or camera malfunctions beyond the replacement of the defective unit. Our maximum liability is limited to the total booking amount paid by the customer.

11. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by Dutch law. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms will be handled through the competent court in The Hague, the Netherlands.
