Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

ShutterShare is a service of The Lions Alliance, registered in the Netherlands (KvK no. 42062105). We are the controller of the personal data described here. Contact: info@shuttershare.nl.

2. What data we collect

• Booking details you provide: name, email address, event date, event type, approximate attendee count, chosen package and delivery method, and any message.
• The photos and videos taken on the rented cameras. These may contain images of identifiable people (you and your attendees).
• Limited technical data: cookies and similar identifiers (see section 6).

3. Why we use it & legal basis

• To deliver the booking and your photos, and to communicate with you — to perform our contract with you.
• To run and improve the service and measure our advertising — our legitimate interests.
• For advertising cookies — based on your consent.

4. How long we keep it

Your photos are stored securely for 90 days (about 3 months) after delivery, then permanently deleted — please download everything within this period. Booking and communication data is kept only as long as needed for the service and to meet legal and tax obligations.

5. Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers who process data on our behalf: Cloudinary (photo storage), Brevo (email delivery), Formspree (form handling), Cloudflare (website hosting, CDN and security), and our own secured server. We use Google Ads to measure ad performance. Some of these providers may process data outside the EU under appropriate safeguards. We never sell your data.

6. Cookies & tracking

We use essential Cloudflare security cookies and localStorage for your language preference. We also use Google Ads cookies (set via Google’s tag) to measure ad conversions and enable remarketing when you arrive from one of our ads. You can control cookies through your browser settings.

7. Photos of your attendees

Because attendees take the photos, they may capture identifiable people. You are responsible for informing attendees that photos are being taken and for obtaining any consent required. We do not use your photos for marketing, social media, or any other purpose without your explicit written consent.

8. Your rights

Under the AVG/GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to the processing of your data, and to data portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time. To exercise your rights, email info@shuttershare.nl. You may also lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

9. Security

We store data on secured systems with access controls and only keep it as long as necessary. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
